Hey all! I got a used fluval edge from auction at local fish group meeting. I set it up with some petrified wood. What do you all think of the hard scape??

The lights that come are pretty crappy and have read how people upgraded to LED. I will probably do so also.

Plan on adding some moss and other low light plants like crypt parva and Anubia. Thoughts and critique welcome!! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1393294368.758741.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1393294379.288917.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1393294387.353549.jpg

Either colorful endlers or a school of glow light rasboras or maybe marble hatchets? Haha so well no, not sure yet. Could also do shrimp tank. This tank will focus on the aquascape versus the fish. I do want to stick with a school though

I'm thinking hatchets will have trouble with the glass on top design. Small schooling fish sound great though. It's definitely tricky to work with but a really cool design. I think you could get away with some medium light plants in between the rocks in the center-rear, but the foreground will be difficult to work with.

I would think it's a little small for the glowlight danios and hatchetfish, Endlers should be fine, ck out any of the Microrasbora group, these would work great.

No plants in foreground I grew. I plan to cover parts of tops with Xmas and java moss. Do small patches of petite Anubia nana in terraces.

Totally agree with the hatchets. Duuuh. Haha. Really thinking glowlight rasboras will be stunning since they match hard scape. Plus I wouldn't have to get heater

Ah glowlight rasboras, Trigonostigma hengeli, I was thinking (and wrote) Danios's. They are certainly small enough to work but a heater will have to be gotten, they like there tempature between 73-80 F.

Ah ok. Recommend a good small heater? Fluval one is like $40!
