Just some Mantis Shrimp Info I found
0
An interesting bunch of mantis information that I found really interesting, in comic form. I knew some of this, but the bit about the colors really blew me away. I'm sure that most people who keep salt water tanks know all of this already! The more you know....

They are really cool looking inverts and are said to have a lot of personality. We used to have a member here that kept one.
One day I will set up a tank for a peacock mantis shrimp. I have always wanted to keep one.
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

That's definitely something to shoot for! I personally don't know if I could handle one, but maybe someday...*sigh*

From what I have read and been told by actual mantis shrimp owners, they are very easy to care for.
You should be able to easily handle one if you did a little research first

I know one guy that lives in the same city as me who has been keeping a peacock mantis shrimp for over 5 years in a 40 gallon glass tank
According to him, as long as you keep them in a properly sized aquarium and you do not place their food near the glass, you will be fine
I think with a little applied common sense you would not have to worry about the mantis breaking your aquarium
