  1. Default Dollar floating like "C shape

    0 Not allowed!
    Hello Friends,

My Dollar is in very very bad shape, since a week he is floating on water in a "C" shape. I could see his ribs visible on either side because he is in "C" position for a week. I changed the water, even I putted terramycin in the water but are of no use. Please could anyone help me here, please see attached pic of my Dollar fish. The green in water that you are seeing is a general tonic in water.

    Regards,
    Rishi

A general tonic for what? If you don't know what is wrong with the fish then don't medicate, you can do more harm than good. I believe I would put that fish out of its misery.
If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
A moderator on a fish forum should be able to identify an oscar... Don't you think?

Tank size, history(set up when, etc) filtration, tankmates, water parameters(ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, temperature) and maintenance schedule would help in determining a cause.

And what was it fed? Silver dollars are herbivores and require a lot of vegetation to eat.

Appriciate for responding. I really don't use kit to measure water parameters. Since 12years, I never use any kit to measure water parameters. Ideally, I use tap water which is more than 2days old. Other signs of illness I could see with my Dollar is that, his appetite gone to level zero, also gasping at the water level. Doesn't like to eat food as all. Also, I can see his rid tranparently.

Another point would like to add - Does my Dollar suffering from 'crroked-spine' or Spine Tubeculosis? Should I apply Tetracycline Hydrocloride to cure? Would it help???

At this point nothing will really help. It could be worms also.

    Fish should be euthanized
