  1. Default i am so full of questions..

my tank is getting over columnaris. I lost 2 panda corys to it because i thought it was a fungus and treated for that the first one died the day of treatment and the second one died much later after seeming healthy and then just one day waking up to a spot.

They have only 2 pandas at my LFS. They're hard to find here. I was wondering if now that I only have 5 and they do better with 6 or more if I shouldn't buy and quarantine those 2 for a few weeks and add them or if i should just be fine with 5? and if i did buy the 2 and quarantine would they be too sad in a tank as the only 2 inhabitants until their quarantine was over?

I think it's always better to quarantine before putting them in to your tank (this being said, I don't have a quarantine tank.) especially if you've had problems with disease. For the short time they would be in there, I think they'd be fine just the 2 of them. Before getting anymore, I would monitor your remaining fish and definitely make sure all disease is gone(What are you treating it with just out of curiosity?). I thought it was 5 or more they were happiest with? Either way, the more the merrier with almost any schooling fish!

i was treating it with macaryn 2. everyones active, eating and looking good so far but i figured the 2 or 3 weeks the pandas would be in quarantine i could also have more time to observe my main tank. if they would be healthy in just a pair for 2 or 3 weeks.

I have no experience with cories my self, but most of my free time is spent reading and researching everything on fish, and as long as you don't have a bunch of other fish in your quarantine tank with the 2 cories, they wouldn't/shouldn't have any reason to be stressed to death. If you have some hiding places they'll be more comfortable too. I thought of this but didn't specify, while the 2 are in quarantine is the perfect time to monitor your others. That way you can get the panda cories before they're snatched up by someone else.

The more the merrier with corys and if you have room in your main tank I would go get the other two.
When I go fishing I just place a sharp rock in the water and sit there waiting for all the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I second that, get the other two.

Not a gamle I'd take. Columnaris is nasty. You want to put that well behind you before restocking

I'd get the other two only if you have room in your main tank and only if you have a decent enough quarantine setup that they can stay there for more than a couple of weeks.

I'd probably get them but do an extended quarantine (a month or more, anyway). They'll be okay as just a pair for a while.

    I agree with Talldutchie.
Yes, 5 cories isn't the best number, but they will last and bringing new fish in at this point will spread you thin.
I would get your main tank treated and done before moving on to getting more fish.
Keeping 2 cories in a quarantine tank for several weeks is okay.
They won't be happy but it is a temporary measure.

When I suggested this I meant, get them; they would be okay in QT untill you had finished treating your main tank.
