Is my ramshorn snail dead?
Today I got two ramshorn snails. I put the into the fish tank and we're moving around fine. I noticed an hour later one of them were on there side. So I picked them up and moved them up right.
Since than he hasn't come out of the shell. I have looked and it looks like he is curled right up in there and there is no trap door just an open shell.
What do I do?
I've never had snails in my aquarium before. ThanksUsing Tapatalk

Snails aren't particularly active, especially when just dunked In a new tank.w ait a day, then smell it. A dead snail smells unmistakable, and the aroma of deceased molluscs will likely replace whatever you previously thought was the worst smell.
Of course, it depends how big your snails are, but if it is to small to sniff, then its death will likely cause no water quality problems in your tank either.

It's alive (: he was just scared I think. My tank is 75 litres.
I'm abit worried about my snails over populating now. The lady at the shop told me there good for the tank, but now after reading how quickly they populate I'm a little worried.Using Tapatalk
