thanks for the additional advice on the tank guys, going to look into the ideas but at the minute I'm thinking my original idea (possible on the firemouths due to conflicting ideas ;) )
will hopefully be able to source all the fish I need.
ill keep you posted on the tank and any further ideas.

that was a giant gourami that did live in the tank previously and did live with other fish but she's not in it anymore, unfortunately we lost her due to illness that she never recovered from. she was around 2 foot long.
