  1. Default over crowded, over feeding or over stressed?

I have a 65g with 12 zebra danios, 6 panda corys, 12 neon tetras, 4 bloodfin tetra, 4 white cloud, 2 clown pleco and 2 honey gourami.

I know my bloodfin and white clouds are low. They're not something that's usually stocked here and were given to me as one of each. I'm trying to raise their numbers to six.

i have black sand substrate. maybe I'm paranoid since dealing with the fungus i lost a cory to but... the top of my sand is always covered in poo. I vac it out pretty much every day because it looks dirty and i want my fish to be healthy, happy and i have some low riders that crawl through that stuff. I've been trying to figure out if it's normal. if i'm over feeding or if i am over crowded? Aqadvisor says im 90% and i know it's not totally accurate.

my sanity would love some insight.

Your not over crowded but those two pleco's produce alot of waste.

i never see the clowns out.

it looks like a lot of it is coming from the gouramis. (strands the size of my neons)

is it a good rule of thumb to vac and wc everyday if i have a layer on top?

I wouldn't be surprised with 2 pleco's either I seen pictures of their mounds of poo - reminds me of that see in Jurassic Park where Ellie goes to examine the droppings lol

but also keep in mind sand shows it alot more than gravel since it just sits on top.

No...What does Aquaadvisor advise for amount of wc? Check nitrates enough to figure out how quick they are building.
If it rises too quick, you may need 2 wc's per week. But never everyday.

aq says 23% once a week. but is it normal or okay/healthy to see poo all over the bottom and leave it for a few days? does this mean i feed too much ?

I'm sorry, it sounds like such a dumb question but it bothers me to know my corys are digging around in it and i just want to see what everyone else does, if it's normal if i should cut down on feeding?

my nitrates are at 5ppm. i change my water every other day if not every though bc i was dealing with a fungus and one of my corys has a tail thats healing and i want to prevent anything else from going wrong.

some fish just poop more others and as we said with sand it just shows more - there do have mini vac's which you can use to clean it without losing much water. I think slap has something similar.
