Gold Nugget Pleco Growth Images (2 1/2 years)
Gold Nuggets are not one of the faster growing plecos, and there is quite a bit of debate as to what their max size is actually... somewhat because they are still deciding on just how many of the variously labeled Gold Nuggets are the same species. (There are currently several L numbers being used: L081, L018, L085, L177) So I thought it might be interesting to post some photos of mine that I have had for the past two and a half years.
These two photos are from September 2011 shortly after I got mine:
And here's the same fish from this morning. Hanging out on the same driftwood.

That's one of the prettiest plecs I've ever seen...looks small...hard to tell?

that is a nice looking pleco, to big for any of my tanks.Current tanks:

Great looking pleco
I have always wanted to get one, but they are hard to come by were I liveIf you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
