If you don't have any of the smaller fish like Neons (4cm) then the Sersama Bidens is a nice one... I had one with Neons without problems but have heard they can eat them...

Only thing is that crabs are also all super escape artists so the lid has to be tight with no open spaces otherwise you will find crab has gone for a wander as I did often ;) ;)

Some say they can go with Neons and others have had problems - guess it depends on their character ;)

Here is a link where you can read more info on them:

Many times with animals like this they are not in general a threat to healthy, alert fish (during the day), it is at night when the fish are sleeping on the bottom that they are easy prey. I believe this is the only reason my axolotls wiped out all but one of my platies.

don't forget that you would have to have some sort of land for them to get up to because they breath our air....they will climb up airline tubing and get out...they will climp up the glass where the silicone is.....and they will find anyway out of the tank they can....so you would have to maybe lower the water some and have something going from the bottom of the tank to the surface and sticking out so that the crab can get air. You could just take a plant (fake and really really tall with lots of stuff to climb up on) and have it going to the top and have some cork (so that it can't move , and have a big piece so the crab has room to get out of the water onto it) right where the plant comes out of the water some.

    I hope that helps you.

    P.S.
When i had one it didn't eat any of my fish.

Mine sadly found its way out of my tank 1 day and i found it dried up on the OTHER SIDE OF THE HOUSE. They are very fast and will run when they hit the carpet.
