    Congrats on the fry

If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

They are quite hard to photograph. I've got them in a separate 135l tank.

Is mum a longfin and dad a L144? If so signs of longgfins in the fry? No signs of L144 I think (mum has to have L144 gens for that)

I must confess that the fry photo is from the last batch of little guys. They bred in the community tank and none of the little guys made it. This time I had a better idea of what I was doing. Little ones have the same colouration but the tank has no lights at the moment so no pics from this batch

Mum is the "standard"ancistrus and Dad is a "pseudo l144". He's not got the true colouration of the L144.

    So no longfin genes here.

There was a thread on this forum I think which discussed the differences. He's pure gold/yellow with red patches on the head and front fins.

From what I've seen the true L144 is more dark with brown.
