I have seen several needlefish in the surf at Boynton Beach. I know they have a row of sharp teeth, but are they dangerous and will they attack if I swim in their area?

They'd never attack humans on purpose, but have been known to cause severe injury or death when they accidentally collide with humans and their long snouts impale them. Mostly this seems to occur when humans night fish with bright lights, which attracts needlefish and gets them agitated.

That user title is just another gkitch in the forum. It happens sometimes when a new person makes their first post and fixes itself if they make anpther post.If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
A moderator on a fish forum should be able to identify an oscar... Don't you think?
