Angel fish are omnivorous and should have a well balanced diet. A good cichlid pellet and flake food with protein and vegetable should also be fed. It would be fine to feed frozen brine shrimp or frozen blood worms (or both) once a week but you shouldn't count on them to be the only food in your angel's diet.

I think it would be good for a treat, but probably not balanced nutrition for an every day feed.

I've never bred angels. Maybe someone else here has and will chime in. In the meantime, try googling :Tips for breeding fresh water angel fish. You might come up with something.
Good luck! Let us know if you have any success with your breeding program.

because they eat the eggs? According the the article in this link, often the parents eat the first batch or two. maybe the next batch of eggs will make it.
