Yeah, I wouldn't want them in my tank, breed like crazy...I read on here somewhere that assassins couldn't even keep them in check

unless you want a 100,000,000 of them, get rid of it.
I'm actually torn. I somehow introduced them into my 30 and 15 (with plants, I think). I will say that those tanks do beautifully - no algae, always good water parameters, great plant growth. so there may be something to be said for them as cleaners and that they rotate the soil.
But I do get weary of seeing them on the glass and in writhing mobs around a slice of zucchini. I remove a bunch of them every week. Some days it really bothers me to see them, some days, not as much.
i put an assassin in the 15 just to see if he could help keep the population down. Too soon to tell if it's working.

I've managed to keep them out of the 90 so far and I don't want them in there. However, having said that, I have to give some thought to the extremely algae free nature of the 15 and 30 and occasionally wonder if I shouldn't just bite the bullet and add MTS to the 90. The problem is, once they're there, it's irreversible. You cannot kill them off.

I'm sure that my rambling answer helped you :o( Sorry.

Crush it and feed it to your fish. They'll probably enjoy it like mine did the nerite snail I accidentally killed. =X

I'll do that, used to do it with pond snails years ago.

I got both water changes done without mishap..

Good deal...how much water do you change nowadays? Does the "tint" lighten up pretty quickly with fresh water?
