Mixing Julii corys with false Juliis?
So, the 29 gallon tank I am working on for my daughter's day care is populated with neon tetras right now, and the plan was to add 6-8 corys once I was sure everything was working. (And it is. I just did a pre-water change test on Friday.)
So, I have my quarantine tank set up and have been buying Julii corys (or so I thought) as I find them. I bought one at one store (all they had), and then I got three somewhere else (also all they had). The problem is that the four are not schooling/shoaling together and it's been more than a week. Also, the odd guy out appears to be slightly darker colored and have more black on his dorsal fin than the others do.
If I have separate species, should I give up all hope of them forming a group?

Did they end up schooling? I have a single Julii that I rescued from someone and it schools with my 5 other emerald corys just like the rest. they all act exactly the same. Nice to know some fish aren't racist lol.
