Instead of vacuuming with the Python hooked to the sink, use gravity to siphon into a large (very clean) bucket...then any unfortunates who get sucked up can be netted out of the bucket, and back into the tank.

You're welcome, LOL...yeah, that amount will take a little while...but it goes quicker than you think...I use to do about that amount, or a little more, but it maybe took 15 minutes tops....plus, I save tap water doing it that way, and I use the old bucketed water to water my plants and roses

I also have 2 siphons, the python and a manual one which is better for getting the substrate.Current tanks:

Neat pictures! I am impressed how they kept the seeds on the courgette/zucchini until the very end... yeah, it doesn't take much to impress me really.If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
A moderator on a fish forum should be able to identify an oscar... Don't you think?
