lol, you guys are awesome.
Matt, that was one of my biggies, too. I like a pristine tank. I'm hopeful that the particulate matter settles to the substrate and gets taken care of by the mops in the tank. Many fish enjoy eating detritus and this sort of stuff... and the bits they don't eat, snails certainly will. So, that's my hope for what will happen.
BTW, they may be distorted in the pic due to their movement, but do you notice that the corys are all over the tank? I don't think they're afraid of me anymore. You'll see that with the videos, too.

Just put together the video I took on Feb. 7. This is right around the time the Crypts started to recover from their initial melt period. They're still making a pretty good comeback and I think I'm going to add some fertilizer tabs to stimulate some growth, but otherwise they're doing fine. The Retrospiralis and Italian Vals are going nuts... but not in this vid.
Also, sorry for the water stains on the glass!

Always enjoy a video, if I asked you this before, forgive me, but what did you shoot it with?Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.

It's a great camera, but you can probably find a newer one for a little more money. This one's 4yrs old and I got it about 3yrs ago from Amazon, as a warehouse deal (that means it was opened, returned, still works and has everything it came with and resold by Amazon for a discounted price - like an open item at Best Buy).

BTW, if you noticed in the vid, there's still particulate matter floating around and this was well before the switch to the new prefilter sponges and lava rock. Since there was an issue before, we can't very well blame it on the sponge-free filters and lava rock.
I will, however, blame it on the Corys. ;P
