looks like some sort of cichlid to me.Current tanks:
37G FW - 3 Pearl Gourami, 4 Black Mollies, approximately 20+ Molly Fry, 5 Assassin Snails | 10G Planted FW - 14 Molly Fry, rocks, DW and an Anubias Nana - journal
"We come from the land of the ice and snow" | "I reject your reality and substitute my own" - Adam Savage | What part of "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" don't you understand?
How to cycle without fishies!

There was a name on the side of the tank. I think it was Satan's Perch. If I saw it correctly

He's a wonderful fish. totally non aggressive, fun to watch eat as he forages the substrate then spits the gravel from both his mouth and his gills. One of my favorites in my tank.

"Satan's perch" being a literal translation of its genus name Satanoperca. No idea how it came to that name.

satanoperca leucostitca 100%. true jurupari have blue bands on their face instead of the spots like leucos. awesome eartheater species that are fairly non-aggressive and do well in groups. I have kept them over the years and one of my fav fishes!your friendly neighbourhood arowanaman!
