Default Back to the Roots Aquafarm for Shrimp

I have been thinking about getting a small aquarium to raise small shrimp (probably Cherry Shrimp) and saw this Back to the Roots AquaFarm at my lfs.

    http://www.petco.com/product/122934/...TanksAquariums

I've been interested in aquaponics for awhile now, but live in a small apartment without room for a larger set up. Since I also wanted a small shrimp tank, i figured this might be a good way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Has anyone used one of these Aquafarms before? If so, what did you think? Would it be possible to sustain the plants with shrimp?

Any thoughts on this product would be greatly appreciated.

This just my opinion but I would say that you are better of getting somelike a 10 gallon (or whatever you can fit in your apartment) and then convert to be used in the same way. Just get a nursery tray to but on top. That give more space to the shrimp and should be cheaper if you use the USD1/gallon special at petco.
Do as I say. Not as I do.

was about to say that is petco - why would you spend $60 for a 3 gallon tank when they are having there $1 / gallon sale from now till the 25th. you could get a 55gallon tank for cheaper than that thing
