  1. Default A few lighting questions

I have a T5 light by aqueon, with one colormax 10000k bulb and one 6700k. I've had the bulbs for about a year, and I heard that you need to replace them every year. I think I will do that. Now: is it worth it to buy another 6700k, instead of colormax? My tank IS planted, and plant growth is important to me. Otherwise, I would stick with the colormax 10000k.
I had another question, but I forgot what it was. I'll just come back to this thread if I remember. Thanks!

I'm no expert when it comes to lighting, but I would think a 6700K would do the trick. Otherwise just stick with what you have.

If you current lighting is working for your set-up then I would not see any need to change

If you are however looking to try something a little different, then I too would recommend 6700K lighting. I have had the best luck with 6700K lighting in my heavy planted tanks
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

ok, thanks. The 10000k and the 6700k I have do a great job of highlighting the color. It's a big difference in the fishes' appearance from LED to t8 flourescent to the t5 I have now (IMO, the t5 10000k is best). Will having two 6700k bulbs, compared to one 10000k and one 6700k, make a HUGE difference in appearance? Probably not, but if it does, I'll just stick to one and one.
