So i have been out of town lately(and i am still out of town for the holiday)and my family got my cousin to house sit. 2 days later i get call saying one of my fish has a lot of white marks on it so i tell her to get some ick drops and put some in there. sunday i get another call saying almost all of my fish have died expect one. She said that one that survived had a really pretty purple spot and i knew my female kribnesis made it. I feel bad for my other fish but at least i have one survivor and the strange thing about it is she told me she never saw my krib with ick on it. I do have some good news and that is my krib is doing great with the tank all to her self.

ick wouldn't have wiped out the tank that quickly, something else went wrong. might have been columnaris

It is a bacterial infection, as hardy85 mentioned it basically employes a blitzkrieg strategy. You notice it one day, tomorrow your fish is dead and in a week half the tank is down.
Besides columnaris, could it be that something else went wrong?
I am talking about heater failing, heater failing to turn off, filter stopping for some reason? Or even your cousin overdosing on the "ich drops"?

i think the overdosing and filter my have something to do with and the hardiness of the krib is really outstanding
