    As much as I appreciate the efforts of the protestors, I think i can safely say that they won't change anything. unfortunately,
    the greed and selfishness of humans will always outweigh their compassion.

    I'm more hopeful for progression (although over what timeline I don't know). If enough of the public become aware and decide (be it through petition, protest, or just by witholding their custom) things can change. If enough ask for it, it can be legislated for.

    I think if people speak change is probable. It's no longer "cool" to wear fur....no longer "cool" to light a cigarette.... no longer acceptable to drive under the influence...here's hoping people always speak their beliefs!
