    Exactly

And now that we have all the information it is more than likely safe to say the tank isn't cycled.. At the very least there is probably not enough of a bio-filter to fill the tank with your proposed stocking. Be sure to monitor the parameters daily once you put fish in there. As for stocking, how big is this tank, you always give us length but no other dimensions, your tank could be 40g long, 55g, 75g, 100g, or 120g tall. We can't give opinions on your fish choices (if you are asking) without all the proper information.
When I go fishing I just place a sharp rock in the water and sit there waiting for all the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Because here we talk tanks in feet. its 286Litres

Well I will go by the readings and state it is, bacteria live in far more than just the filter, and as the tank is by no means a new setup, I am fully believing the tank has sustained itself bacteria wise with what is in the gravel!
I am putting 3 small fish in the tank, by no means overloading the tank in any way, I also stated the tank will be monitored to be sure.

Proposed stocking, I haven't given a definite stocking plan as far as I know?? I wasn't asking for stocking opinions, I will know what to add when I work it out myself.
    Lots of tanks

Yes, there will be some beneficial bacteria on the hard surfaces in the tank, but not enough to sustain a bio-filter for many fish, especially since there was no ammonia source for several days. I am just reminding you as I would anyone else to watch the parameters which you state you will, thank you again.

Proposed stocking, I haven't given a definite stocking plan as far as I know?? I wasn't asking for stocking opinions, I will know what to add when I work it out myself. In your opening post you stated "Now as for stock. Am thinking along the lines of, but not fully decided on as yet::

    11-12 small angels
    10 platys
    2 bristlenose
    4 Pakistani loaches"

I didn't say your stocking choice was definite, just proposed, you are thinking about it, etc...Which is good because 11-12 angels won't last long in a 75g tank.
I wish you good luck with this tank Allasse and I look forward to reading more about it as you continue to stock it and it matures.

Thank you, As I have stated a few times, I am not putting many fish in, I am putting 3 fish into a 75gal tank.

I cycle with fish anyway, my normal practise (and no I do not want to hear about it, as you will not change my mind) so I know how to keep an eye on the tank. and rest assured I will actually test it and post the honest results :)

I came home with 6 fish lol, Still only 3 went into this tank as I stated earlier.
Dumping a full tank load of fish into it would be bad, I stock slowly. I am happy to do that, as finding the fish I like can be difficult here, and I really am on a budget lol

As for stocking I was thinking as stated, and added not fully decided.......meaning this will probably change lol Why the tank has been empty, it wasn't meant to be as long as It has been, but fish I was sposed to pick up a few days later, the seller pulled out, I ended up with an empty tank. I did not want to fully stock it then decided they aren't the fish I wanted, I would far rather go slowly and get it right. The fish I put in it today, if I change to cichlids/goldies I can house them elsewhere in another one of my tanks.

10-12 SMALL angels is what I stated, which is perfectly acceptable (that is how people try to find breeding pairs after all). I realise they grow and realise some may have to move out later. I do have other tanks that I intended to move some to at a later date. But things change in all tanks, didn't think I had to add future plans and all the ins and outs into this. So as stated not fully decided on stock yet.
Could yet end up being cichlids (non angel/discus/ram type). Could end up goldfish, could end up all small fish, depends what strikes my fancy and what is around.

Anyway i'll update as things progress

What fish did you end up getting?

The fish I got ended up moving to a breeding setup :)

This tank is being stocked with fancy goldfish. It will slowly get more fish added as I find the ones that catch my eye. Currently home to a Calico Ryukin and a Red capped Oranda (this guy may move back with the other small oranda later, but the ryukin was stressing, so this guy moved in to give the ryukin a buddy)

    As the tank is now

I love it! That is a masterpiece. One thing that I think it needs though is some more harscape on the right side. Small rocks to create a drop off feel. My 2 cents.

    Thank you :)

Over time I will slightly blend the left and right together, the left is fake plants, the right is live plants. I need to get some more appropriate sized silk plants :) I don't want the right side full like the left. They need swimming space, and that is the side I feed.
