Here's an attractive small tetra I always thought was interesting, Axelrodia riesei, especialy for people wanting to stock small tanks, unfortunatly everything I've read about them says their color fades out when kept in captivity.

    Has anybody kept them succesfully?

Good information on them here: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...57967247,d.cGU

    Here's another video of them.

I have never kept them, but thanks for the introductory video Lee.
When in doubt, do a water change.

I've only seen them in person once in the LFS, most of them died but the owner gave the last two to me for free. They spent most of their time hideing, probably because they were the smallest fish in the tank. I had glowlights then and when they would come out, beside to eat, it was to school with them. They just disappeared one day.

Looked into these, wanted them but couldn't find them anywhere.

What I know is that this is really a blackwater species. We're talking apistogramma breeding conditions here. Most of your country doesn't have water like that so perhaps that explains the fading.
