First of all, have a look at planet catfish. They have a very distinctive mouth shape which you need to recognize since quite a few dealers take common ancistrus and sell them as thits species.

Secondly, this is an extremely slow growing species. They eat a lot, poo an impressive amount for such a small fish and yet they grow very slowly.

Thirdly, habitat. Literature says they're almost a whitewater species but that's not correct, they also are found on the quiet edges of rivers. They do enjoy a lot of (plant) cover and a cave to rest in. With temperatures over 25c their breathing seems to suffer so it's important to create plenty of splash from your filter outlet.

Fourth, diet. These can be difficult to get to eat after they've been transported. So prepare for that. Growing fish seem to be healthiest on a 90% green veg diet. Average sinking wafers contain too much protein for them. I'd advice you to buy some repashy super green just in case.
When they mature and pass the 40mm length you can increase the protein in their diet a bit. It would also be a good idea to start an algae pebble factory. Once they do eat green veg 4 times a week, hikari sinking twice a week and no food one day a week seems to keep them healthy.

Despite having fry I don't have their spawning trigger figured out 100% yet. I do strongly suspect it needs to be a rainy season. Going back in my logs what did it was dropping the temp 3 degrees and doing a big water change with rainwater bringing the tank down from 380ppm TDS to a little less than half that. I also suspect that this is most succesful if you happen to have a good low pressure area over your home.

Hope this helps, if not please ask.
