can someone give me some information on the snakeskin gourami because i am starting to want to get one or 2 for my 55 gallon.

They can get pretty big, up to 12", usualy smaller in captivity but are peaceful, lots more information on them here: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...57752919,d.cGU.
I've never kept them but always wanted to try them as well as the Moonlight species.

Nice gourami, however never forget, they are a gourami. By this I mean 9/10 they don't do well in the presence of others unless in a 1m-3f ratio. As its a 55g, stick with just 1, as long as the tank doesn't contain angelfish, bettas or low numbers of schooling fish such as tetras or barbsMy therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .
