Got another 55g tank so I think I'm going cichlid with this one. Here's the hard scape, going to be very simplistic and a darker theme. The back is painted flat black and not sure if I will have any greenery in it at all.

That looks great! What fish are you planning.
When I go fishing I just place a sharp rock in the water and sit there waiting for all the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I like the look you have created with the drift wood on the right hand side
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

The right-hand side is great - very nice to have that height. I can't really judge the left-hand side because of the glare. Is it rocks or wood on the left?

In any case, it's a super hardscape for a S.American cichlid set-up. What species are you considering?

So far I have 4 95% coverage orange koi angels in my quarantine tank for this. Been thinking about a school of rummy nose or some other schooli white fish with red on it. Like bloodfins or something.

Ah right - so you'll be planting this tank then? I hope so as those inhabitants will appreciate it. Sounds good, I had to Google Koi Angel.

I had imagined you were going for something unplanted with that scape. What volume is the tank?

No this one won't be planted. It's a 55g this one will probably driftwood and rock. I'm gonna give the koi as much room as possible. My other 55 is planted this one I'm going less maintenance. Just more extravagant driftwood work but with plenty of swimming room for adult angels. The angels are about 5 months old now. When I'm through with it they will love it.

Ah right, well ok. I wouldn't recommend rummynoses then.

Yeah the rummy nose were just a thought. I had them before but they weren't too keen on my water. The left side of the tank is rock for now. I'm sure it will be changed a million times before I find out how I want it. I may add a dark green Plant to the left or something. Just not sure yet.
