    Thanks :) Yes I have a double sided background. One side blue an th other black. I'll put it up now.

    I don't know how I thought the background was black:what: but it's blue. I had enough with the blue! Can I spray paint the paper black?

    An easy solution is just to buy a piece of black sugar paper and tape it to the back of the tank. Costs nearly nothing.

    So here's the tank and the fish. Can anyone identify the fishies since I'm new to cichlids.

    Im not an african cichlid keeper so I cannot help you out with species identification. However I would advise you to research the species you intend to keep, pet stores will sell you anything you want, always remember that. They often tell you what you want to hear instead of whats actually true. Try and not do any compulsive buys If you see a fish you may want then start a thread on here asking for some advice on them :) It will save you time money and hassle
