So I just bought a sturgeon!!
Thankfully I have an uncle with a big pond to keep him until I move out. He is a sterlet sturgeon, so his maximum size of 3feet will take 10years to reach. Currently sitting around 10inches the now. The shop somehow had some and I may get one or two more after xmas!

Wow, that's awesome. I hear sturgeon have quite specific food requirements though, something like not being able to handle plant protein at all or something.

Thanks for the great response guys.
Well as it is barely 10inch long I have time on my side. Takes around 10 years for them to hit 3ft.
I have bought sterlet sticks, as the name suggests specific for this sturgeon. Watched him feed in the lfs. Their anatomy makes it difficult to feed mainstream foods, I am currently looking into making my own food, needs a high crustacean percentage. Brine shrimp 'bombs' maybe. My therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .

Neat fish Scottie. You are going to have your hands full with this one. When I go fishing I just throw sharp rocks in the water and wait for the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Dear naps, sorry I hated you so much when I was a child... Love me
