    + 1 to slap, very good explanation.

    Hi, I'm a newbie so I checked AqAdvisor. It says you will need higher filtration capacity and that the range of Ph requirements between the different species is too wide. Well, here:

    Recommended temperature range: 78.8 - 82.4 F.
    Warning: Water pH requirements are not fully compatible between all selected species.
    => 7.2 - 7.6: Pygmy Rainbowfish
    => 5.5 - 7.5: Cardinal Tetra
    => 5.5 - 7.8: Oto
    => 5.5 - 7.8: Panda Cory
    => 5 - 7: German Blue Ram
    Recommended hardness range: 5 - 12 dH.
    Warning: You NEED to add more aquarium filtration capacity!!!

    Your aquarium filtration capacity for above selected species is 69%.
    Recommended water change schedule: 42% per week.
    Your aquarium stocking level is 111%.

    Food for thought I suppose.
    It just so happens your fish here is only - mostly - dead...

    I think your stocking is reasonable but I had to Google the capacity of the filter. I had a similar sized tank with higher stocking density (it was at about 140% stocking) but I had more than three times the filtration you currently have, was well planted and I changed a lot of water each week. I think you'll probably be ok with your stocking and filtration so long as you are really militant with your maintenance schedule though.

    It is always nice to have more filtration than you need so keep that in mind if you are going to be adding stock soon. Can you add a second filter or upgrade?

    + 1 to Firefly, I totaly agree that the stocking will be fine, AqAdvisor is just that; an advisory site and not an end to all means, not discounting what shepherdsong had to say but I've found that site to be off a few times.

    I agree - but in its defence, it's pretty much the only stocking calculator I would ever use and is the most comprehensive tool I have found online. Any tool needs to be used in combination with some common sense though of course. It won't take into account how much decor you have, or whether or not your tank is live planted which can make a difference.
