    hi all

i'm thinking of doing an amazon themed tank on a four foot tank (1215 length by 45 by 45 cm)
looking for ideas on stocking and ideas. only thing is the gravel bed will be in white sand. two 250 watt heaters and two powerheads.

only thing i have narrowed down is the plants, all will sword plants and variants of sword plants. other features will be bog wood
we are all on a journey.
Apparently there is nothing that cannot happen today.

Angelfish, cardinals, bronze cory cats, black skited tetras, glo light tetras, gold tetras, almost any tetra comes from the amazon. If you wanted to do an all driftwood tank then silver dollar tetras are AWESOME, but they are called vegetation piranhas lol.

+ to the above - all except the Silver Dollars. My experience with them is that they freak out easily and keep the entire tank in chaos. Very spooky fish. Not saying don't get them, just warning you they need a quiet out of the way location where people aren't constantly walking by and might do well in a species tank of all silver dollars.

You can't have an Amazon themed tank without Rummy nose, IMO.

Or the Red ruby pencilfish, harder to find and still a little expensive but worth the effort.
