55 gallon stocking

For this new fish tank i will be getting soon, I want the tank to be a very relaxing and tranquil tank. For example some of the fish I am considering are the Angelfish and discus fish but if you all can think of some fish similar of that nature and help me with stocking that would be great. (And yes i do know about the fishless cycling)

if relaxing and tranquil also includes maintenance free, don't go with discus.

so what would be a good another good fish to go with besides the angelfish ?

I think some larger, sedate tetra species would be a good choice.

OK so i know i want angelfish i am considering congo tetras and some type of rainbow fish

Take a look also at rummy nose tetras (Hemigrammus bleheri), Roberts tetra (Hyphessobrycon bentosi) or lemon tetras (Hyphessobrycon pulchripinnis).

If your looking for a little bigger tetra try Emperor, Bleeding hearts, Columbian, and Diamond tetras.

If you really want an angel id get a solo, a good sized school of congos and a good school of cories or khuli loachs would round out the stocking nicely.
