Hey, My pleco is living with 4 large feeder goldfish. It seems to be very sociable with them. All seems well there. My question is: What type of wood do i pit into my tank for my Pleco?

A "pleco" is hardly sociable, it just tolerates other fish as long as they don't get between it and it's food.
Unspecified plecos are almost always from the hypostomus or Pterygoplichthys genus neither of which cares much about the kind of wood as long as it sinks, can be stuck to and hidden behind.
So anything that sinks and is not from a tree with resin should do.

I googled this (pleco wood) - there are 2 types named in this - your LFS might carry at least 1 type or you can google it and find it online for sale.

Also, don't know what kind of pleco you have but I sure hope you have a large enough tank for those goldfish - commons can grow to over a foot -

And...welcome to the forum! Any other questions will get more viewings in the proper subforum.

Ah yes, the old pleco eating wood myth... There's only two genus that do eat wood and that's panaque and panaquolus.

What wood? Any kind your fish store sells. Anything you find that's not polluted and that's not from a tree with resin. So no pine, cedar and spruce but rather beech, oak, fruit trees (like apple, pear, wallnut) or even the softer trees.

Welcom to AC Remember to always boil the wood you get (even if the store says they already have), when i got some wood for my bn pleco i forgot and later had some really funky stuff growing off it.

Boiling does serious damage to the fibres on the outside of the wood and thereby makes it degrade faster and release more tannins.
