    Hello all,

I am having a difficult time deciding on plants for my tank. It is going to be a 10g shrimp tank and I have a few little plants now. I have red ludwigia and some water sprite. I am looking for tall and full plants for the back and a few small plants in the front and I am looking to get something like hair grass or something similar to cover the bottom of the tank.

Currently just have a HOB but will probably change to a canister once tank is established.
    3 inches of fluorite substrate
    DIY CO2
Dosing with flourish comprehensive supplement at the moment.
    1x HO T5 6,700K 24w coralife bulb
    1x HO T5 24w colormax bulb
    Both bulbs are brand new.
Currently running a 10 hour light cycle.

Midway through fish less cycle right now.

Any recommendations and comments are appreciated including changes to equipment and suggestions of plants, etc.

Would I have enough lighting to grow baby tears as a carpet plant? From what I have read I should be able to as there isn't too much flow in the tank, 4.8wpg, and I have CO2 and will be getting substrate fert's as well as liquid dosing. Suggestions?

your light is certainly high enough. you might even have floating plants at the top and still have
baby tears at the bottom just by the intensity of your lighting.

That is good to hear that I should be able to have baby tears in my tank. I'm going to purchase a few more plants and some driftwood for the tank and then get the baby tears to fill in the rest of the tank.

My light and ferts are sufficient enough for java moss and moss balls do you think?
