Peral gouramis as well as other gouramis works with Bettas. however your tank might be to small for them to avoid fighting with eachother. It could work if you plant your tank densely.

I have 4 bettas, 2 males & 2 females, in a 10 gallon aquarium. We have an algae eater as well. These same fish have all lived together for 7 months now. Our petshop personnel seem to be shocked that we aren't having trouble. Has anyone else out there had males living together peacefully?

I have had males live together peacefully at one stage. It depends on the fish, each Betta has a different personality to another.

At the moment I have a halfmoon Betta who lives with male guppies and instead of fighting with them, he plays in the bubbles from the airstone and lets them sleep in his cave with him.

I had a Betta that protected the guppy fry produced in that tank and herded them into his safe area.

Yes it was. Sorry. Edited that post to remove the obscene number of typos in it ;-)

Yes. I think your Betta would do well in it but as always. Keep an ee on it an be ready to move it back if it doesn't.
