as far as filtration goes, FX6 is fine for now. I would add another medium - large size AquaClear HOB when the fish grow a bit. EBJDs grow very slow and oscars very fast. be prepared to move your EBJD at any sign of harm.Thar she blows!!!

Oh dear, somehow I missed the electric blue part. My advice was for a normal JD. I strongly advise not to put those two fish together. The EBJD is much less aggressive than an oscar and will more than likely be stressed to death. When I go fishing I just place a sharp rock in the water and sit there waiting for all the dead fish to float to the top... Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I definitely would not enjoy that haha. I would get a regular jack dempsey but the fish stores around me only have white ones. Now I don't have any experience with jack dempseys so are they supposed to be a white-ish colour when they're small then change to blue when they get bigger or do I have to get a specific one if I want the ones that are blue and colourful? Sorry for the stupid questions but I only have experience with african cichlids.

I would have only kept 2 Oscar's in that tank, as Oscar's grow really fast and they grow big...They eat lots and also they produce lot of mess..
IMO you keep 2 Oscars and enjoy them . Believe me they are amazing and they have a personality.. I have 2 and they are fantastic...
Keep 2 and grow them in an environment they want, so they grow to their full potential.. If they get more space and more fresh water they will be amazing..
