  1. Default Discus with zebra plecos or L177 Golden Nugget - Can anyone talk from experience?

Hey all! My birthday is coming up and I'm thinking of getting myself a nice zebra pleco. I currently have 150 gallon with 11 discus (4"-6") and am somewhat concerned that new pleco may suck their slime coat. I have an albino BN pleco who is totally fine with them. If I don't get the zebra, I will go with L177 golden nugget (large spot) as I know they aren't as carnivorous as other plecos and wouldn't touch the discus. My water stays about 85 and I am running two FX5's so temp is high and plenty of water flow.

If you have kept these either of these plecos with discus please chime in!

I've kept gold nuggets and have never seen them go after the slimecoat of any fish. well fed plecos should leave your fish alone. on a sidenote, they love fruits and veggies which foul up the water quickly. if you can stay ontop of your water params, you should be ok. they also require lots of oxygen in the water and prefer some driftwood.
    Thar she blows!!!

That whole slimecoat thing tends to happen to people who cram way too many fish in a tank and then don't feed their "plecos"

L177 gets double the size of a zebra
