What a great set-up for a betta.People say if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all... Then they wonder why am I so quiet.
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
A moderator on a fish forum should be able to identify an oscar... Don't you think?

Brilliant video, Thanks for sharing.
I lost a betta to a jump through the tiniest gap in the lid :( A sad day for me as they are such fun little fish. I am always tempted at the lfs but have resisted due to tasty guppy tails!

That's awesome. I want that tank so bad... Wild-type betta in there would be totally epic! And he's a cutie, a smart cutie by the looks of it. You could kinda see him trying to decide where the best spot in that trickle was... I bet he just does that for fun.
Lost a really nice betta to a jump once... And I used to have this one in my community tank that kept jumping up and somehow wedging herself in the corner of the tank every night, out of the water. There were no problems that I managed to find, so I just started putting her in a cup with a net lid every night so she couldn't get up in a corner. I also had a female once who didn't quite jump, but she did something similar... My brother put his finger in the tank for her to bite, but she bit harder than he expected and when he jerked his finger out, the betta held on and ended up on the floor! She was fine, though, just a bit dazed.I hate hearing people say "it's only a $3/$5/$1 fish/shrimp, so it's ok if it dies, I can just get another." It's still an animal! All animals should be treated like they're worth $10,000.
