Great job Hardy, I'm so happy for you! The bathroom sink is awesome, glad you didn't change it out... just removing that wallpaper was enough!

Yes...I like the old bathroom fixtures. If you update the décor, you a great 'vintage' look...

After seeing the before and after of your yard, I bet the neighbors are loving you, too. What a transformation!

Remember when replacing a faucet - python connectability?

LMAO - the upstairs faucet didn't get one for a python... will have to check the bathroom sink otherwise I forsee headaches lol

Ran into my first hurdle, had the master bed all sanded (Ceiling and walls) and ready for paint, go to start painting the ceiling and areas the looked perfectly fine started peeling off....

    FML

So the plan right now is to hit the ceiling with a light coat of primer (to get the rest to peel off) and then skim coat the entire thing... GRRRRR

You're doing a great job Chris. And the house, from outside looks really nice and substantial. All this hard work will pay off big time in the long run. what you've done so far (and I know you're not finished) has already increased the value by more than the money you've spent doing it.

Have you found out anything about the tree? It's such a nice tree :o(

Well in the spring I will be having the branches trimmed (anything over the house that is more than a few inches in diameter)

From that point we are going to wait a year or so and see how we feel about it

as long as you don't have foundation problems and you can trim it up, hopefully it will be okay.

Oh - as to the faucet and the python. We only have 1 faucet in our house that works for one (but I use an aquean water changer). As long as you're fixing up, a new faucet wouldn't be that pricey :o) In the long run, it will save you tons of hours which should offset the cost of the faucet :o)

and good luck with that ceiling.

The fiance already picked out a fancy faucet for the kitchen... so that option is out, I know the one in the basement would work, but I don't think I could fill the tank that way....

I could always fill the sink up and use a power head as the faucet is running as a worst case scenario
