I am not a goldfish expert by any means, but I would have to say that a 29g tank is not sufficient space for one, let alone two ranchu goldfish. They reach six inches in length. I will however defer to the more knowledgeable goldfish members.

Gogi what I've read is that 1 ranchu = around 40 gallon tank. Yet other places state 10 gal tank min per fish.
Seems to be a lot of variance.
I guess if I were you I'd look for more info on line unless someone here comes up with a more specific answer. Good luck!30 g FW planted:corys, ABNP, blue angel, harleys, zebra danios, nerites & mystery snails
15 g FW planted: crown tail betta, neons, snails
90 g FW semi planted: Blood Parrots, severum, Jurupari, EBJD, congos, kribs, clown pleco, snails

Just to add to this (and aside from the fact that your tank is too small) - the temperature is at the top end of what ranchu goldfish should be kept at. You will shorten their lifespan keeping them at this top end. Remember, they are not tropical fish."Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known." Carl Sagan

Who would put a fish this size in a 10-29 gallon tank? Personally if I were a goldfish person, and I am not, I wouldn't put one in less than a 40 gallon and two in less than a 55 gallon.

Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
