I'm new to the community and I was just wondering how many bettas our members have? I have 4 right now. They came from an IBC breeder and they are all ahlfmoons.I used to have 12, all but 3 came from Petsmart. I had to give them up before moving to Texas. One was a gorgeous white halfmoon. I still miss them. "sniff"

I don't have any at the moment, but it's the first time in about 6 years. We've usually had one in the house, keep it until it passes from old age, and get another. Too many tanks and fry at the moment to add anything else!

You might want to post this question as a poll, to get a better overall idea as well as people's posts...just a thought...

Thanks. I just moved to central Texas 5 months ago. I'm still adjusting. It's like a whole other country here. Lol

I used to have one but sadly it has passed. I now have a community tank. Maybe one day I will return to bettas.

I just have my one color-changing female betta in a community. She really hates other bettas, otherwise I'd have several in there. It's kind of odd... She tries to kill other female bettas, but she totally ignores a dwarf gourami, among various other community fish.
I hate hearing people say "it's only a $3/$5/$1 fish/shrimp, so it's ok if it dies, I can just get another." It's still an animal! All animals should be treated like they're worth $10,000.
