Just a quick question for you guys-

I'm planning on buying a bunch of fish from that are not available in my LFS.
In order to save on shipping I have to buy a bunch of fish at once, and I wouldn't mind being able to order one single shipment anyways. However say I buy 15 fish, and I want to stock them in a 55gallon.....Won't they all arrive the same day? And I know it's dangerous to introduce too many fish at once to an aquarium...How do I prevent this?

It will be fine to add 15 fish at once as long as you prepare properly. You need to have a large bacteria colony established in order to handle their bioload. Also, most fish you get online will be very small when they are sent, unless you order specific sizes.

+1 - as long as your tank is already cycled and the bacteria are there to "eat" the new fish's ammonia, you will be fine as long as they are properly acclimated 1st to your pH & water temp.

That's why fishless cycling is recommended because you can add more fish at one time - the bacteria is already there - you just need to keep it alive by feeding ammonia until the fish arrive.

As long as your tanks cycled as pointed out, you will be fine. Check your parms one more time to insure everything is fine before you order.

What are you ordering, if I may ask?
