    Default New pike cichlid

I caught this pike cichlid a few weeks ago. Unsure of the exact species but it probably falls under the Crenicichla saxatilis group. It has been slowly trained onto prepared food.

    Neat fish Aeon!
When I go fishing I just place a sharp rock in the water and sit there waiting for all the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I love pikes. Didnt know you got them in T&T

Exact species is allways hard. especially consider the number that still need to be described.

Aeon is one of the few people that can post pike cichlid without invoking an "uh-oh!" response in me,

Looks good, perhaps describe it and see what that gets you.

Hahaha... Thanks. I have a few more in the same tank. I will be keeping one or two of them. The rest are going to a stream where the population was recently wiped out by a mudslide.

What ???? Not to my tank ?????

Sounds like a good idea and a worthwhile cause to reintroduce them to the stream. Are you planning to reintroduce other species as well.

I do not think it is possible to keep blue acaras and not breed them ;-)
