I have a 10gal tank which so far has 3 male guppies. It's been about a week since I've set it up and I'm starting to notice that among the 3 guppies, one of them keeps harassing the other by nipping at his tail. The third guppy seems to just go off on his own all the time.

Is this behavior something I should worry about? Anything I should do about this? There doesn't seem to be any damage to the fish although on the other hand I don't think its very fond of the other guppy chasing him around all the time and nipping at his tail.

Sounds like normal guppy behavior. Males spend a lot of time chasing and fighting, but I've never observed any real damage done to another guppy. However, with a small number of fish there usually is a weak one that is singled out and chased constantly. How about adding more guppies?

I do actually plan to add more guppies. I only have 3 in there right now while my tank is cycling. I was worried about adding more because of that behavior but I guess it may just be normal. Thanks for the response.
