    I am grabbing media bags on my way home tonight. So quantity isn't in question

    My only concern was if it'd "crash" the pH or if it will reduce it slow enough not to be an issue

    It's a slower process than that, so there should be no "crash", "your in good hands with Sandz" as many people have found out.

    fingers crossed I stop losing these guys, Lee brought up a good point, NTD is caused by the fish eating the other dead fish, which isn't happening since they can't get to the filter intake

    so lets hope its just stress causing the issues and that the peat will help

    Alot of oldtimers used to line the bottom of their tanks with peat, than pour the substrate they were useing over the top of it. To late for that of course but the peat in media bags will work just fine.
