Hang in there, I know how helpless you must feel, stuck at work and unable to do anything about it right now.

how about this, take a hanger and straighten it out, then take a nylon media bag (small one? and run the "hanger part" through the drawstring part of the bag, close the hanger part to make a circle then try to scoop cory out that way? like a fish net but narrow and straight...

Great idea... first I am going to siphon out all the dirt, this will give me the easiest access to the fish
If he's too tired, dead, or not moving I'll try the bag idea

Sadly if he was alive he would be out, is very difficult to get to. Looking like more of a recovery mission than rescue :(

Well depressing, but I got him out...
Sad part is that if I had tried that method first last night it would have made it. I siphoned out all the sand and soil in the planter and after breaking some egg crate was able to get it out
Now I have an ammonia issue (.25 ppm) and I expect a mini cycle because I disturbed the soil.
On a happier note... I have Cory eggs!! I have 6 on my front glass ImageUploadedByTapatalk1389231150.544988.jpg

Sorry bud, that sucks. But hey, congrats on the cory eggs! =]

Yea gotta keep a very close eye on the ammonia levels
But looking at the plants and I have a ton of new growth, sad I lost the Cory, was my fault. I think I have any and all holes plugged that fish can access... I hope

Sorry about your cory. Sometimes this is the only way to know an adjustment needs to be made.
