Help me ID this shark...
Hello community. I was wondering if anyone had and information on this fish in the picture. They sell these at the local fish store/market and they are advertise as real sharks. The guy at the store kept assuring me that this shark will not grow much bigger than it already was (about 1.5 ft). Although I don't know if I really believe him. From my online research, it seems like this is some kind of a species of black tip reef shark which could grow to 5 ft. What do you people think it could be?
I don't think I'm ready for a fish like this but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with keeping sharks like this one? I'd imagine it to be a difficult and expensive undertaking and I couldn't find much about caring for this fish online.

You would appear to be correct. That also looks like a black tip reef shark, to me. So, unless you've got at least an 8,000 gallon tank laying around I would pass on one50g African Cichlid Tank ♦ 30g Planted Community Tank ♦ 2g Pico Reef ♦ 45g Hex Goldfish Tank ♦ 10g Planted Betta Tank ♦ 55g Oscar & JD Tank ♦ 40g JD Juveniles Tank

The guy's lying. That doesn't look anything like this one shark species that stays tiny, it's a blacktip reef if I've ever seen one.I hate hearing people say "it's only a $3/$5/$1 fish/shrimp, so it's ok if it dies, I can just get another." It's still an animal! All animals should be treated like they're worth $10,000.
