New here just saying HELLO
I am new to this forum and am just introducing myself.....
I am a planted aquarium enthusiast. I have an incurable case of MTS (not the snails). I love cichlids and have kept many different species over the years. I currently only keep and breed what I would consider to be the non aggressive cichlid species (mostly dwarfs), angels, rams, apistos, and west Africans. I also breed other non cichlid species. I like to design my aquariums in ways that I imagine the inhabitants would envision as a heaven. Somewhat like their native environment but without the predators. I am unconventional in the way that I chose species to put together but it all works out in the end. I do have a traditional mind set when it comes to many aspects of the hobby for instance I still use under gravel filters (yes in planted tanks!!), I like the way foil looks as a background, and I prefer an old beat up glass aquarium to those POS that sell at the chain stores for a buck a gallon. Although, I am guilty of having those POS aquariums.
I have 2 children that love fish. My youngest has a tank of livebearers all of which have names that I am supposed to remember. His tank is like cartoon land for fish and most of todays hobbyists would probably look at it in shock but he loves it!
I also raise different varieties koi and goldfish in ponds outside. I have a turtle that I have had since I was six. I am still working on how to write her into my will since she will most likely out live me.
Oh and I am an environmental engineer that lives in Georgia. So I cant spell and I have bad grammar, but I can solve the problem.
