Although there are traits of an Apistogramma showing, it will be easier to ID after it has settled into the tank in a few days; the colouration and pattern is pale due to the stress, not surprising.
BTW, it sometimes pays to ask the store for the scientific name from the invoice, depending where the fish came from. Common names are often made up by the store, which doesn't help much.
