Fish ID needed please
Hello everyone, I have been poking around neighborhood lakes and lately finding unusual species roaming the waterways. I have some kind of eel that's unknown but today I don't have his photo. Below are 2 in particular that I can't place a finger on. I'm not sure if the bottom dwellers are gobys or darters. Either way, what personality they have! Just hoping someone can tell me what to call them instead of, "Heyyy You". I'm able to catch these guys by the hundred if I had a reason to. They are everywhere. I know there is a flagfish and some least killifish (cool fish)
Thanks so much for always coming through

If you do get an ID on them, you should check with the local Fish and Game department to make sure its okay to collect them, some states are very picky about this.Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.

First one, the one hanging out on the bottom, looks like a swamp darter. Very common in Florida. The other one might a blue gill.

I agree with a darter - could be a type of bluegill/bream species but normally they are shorter bodied.
FW: 1 45gal, 1 40gal, 3 10gal, 3 30gal all community tanks of different species
Sw: 1 55gal, 1 30gal show, 1 29gal show, 1 20gal and 2 10's

I think you guys nailed it. As for the legality of what I'm doing, I've checked with the FWC and all I need is a standard fishing license and to only target exotics. Game fish are their main concern. I love what I'm doing because I'm finding things that not only did I never expect to see, but most of them don't belong here anyway. I have been catching tons of flagfish and I gotta say, what a fun little fish. I have seen the aggression others have said they are notorious for but they aren't spawning at the moment either.
Another underrated fish in my opinion, the least killifish. What's cooler than a fish that small that gives birth to a single baby everyday till done. Neat!
