Question Sparkling Gourami + Dwarf shrimp

    0 Not allowed!
I have a Sparkling gourami (Trichopsis pumila) in an 8 Gallon tank that I will be breaking down. I am rehome most of my fishes in my nano tanks but I really want to keep my sparkling gourami. I want to put it in my 29 gallon community tank. All the fish in this tank are small the the biggest are cardinal tetras. My concern is with my dwarf shrimp I have in the tank. All the other fish seem to leave them alone but I have noticed that the sparkler is very curious and picks on the malaysian snails that are in his current tank. Will it eat my dwarf shrimp or their babies? I wont mind if it eats some but I do not want them to be wiped out.

Will sparkling Gourami eat dwarf shrimp?

I tried to keep cherry shrimp with my sparkling gouramis, and the shrimp didn't last long. The young shrimp are small enough to eat, and the adults will get picked on.

Tbh anything other than snails or otos arent safe to keep with shrimp. The general idea is if it fits it gets eaten. They are best kept in their own tank
